Today’s game was just… awful, to be honest. I really thought we’d carry some of last week’s momentum into this rivalry matchup, and man, was I wrong. The Jets came out flat from the jump. It looked like a team that didn’t even want to be out there—on offense or defense. As usual, special teams showed up, but outside of that? It was rough. The Jets lost 34–10 to the Miami Dolphins in a game I genuinely expected to be close. Miami wanted it more from the first snap, and they never let up.

After the first three drives, you could already tell us Jets fans were in for a long afternoon. Miami got the ball first and absolutely dog-walked us down the field. It took them only four plays to go 69 yards and score. Abysmal. The Jets got the ball and immediately did nothing—punt. Miami got it back and needed just five plays to go 80 yards. After those two drives, I knew we were cooked. The defense wasn’t prepared, the offense wasn’t prepared, and before the end of the first quarter we were getting skinned, 21–0. And unlike a video game, you can’t just turn it off and restart.

Then, toward the end of the first, Isaiah Williams ripped off a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown, and for a second, I thought we had some life. I was hyped—screaming and everything. Williams has honestly been a huge bright spot on special teams this year after being sent back down to the practice squad. But outside of that return, there wasn’t much to celebrate. The defense actually held up decently in the second quarter but still gave up a field goal late, making it 24–7 at halftime.

The second half wasn’t any better. The Jets went scoreless until early in the fourth, when they kicked a field goal to make it 24–10, but the offense was way too stagnant. Tyrod Taylor left early with a groin injury, and Brady Cook made his NFL debut—and you could tell. And that’s okay; it was expected. He’s been the third-string QB all year and only moved up because of Fields’ injury, but the offense just couldn’t get anything going. The run game was nonexistent at 65 yards. The Jets finished with barely over 200 yards of total offense. You’re not winning games like that.

There are still maybe a game or two on the schedule that feel winnable, so I do expect them to finish with more than three wins. But man… I’m just ready for this team to make some moves on offense and start building something competitive for next year. Rebuilds don’t need to take forever, despite what the Jets seem to think. I’m hopeful the new regime can get us on the right track.
