One thing I absolutely love that NBA 2K has incorporated over the past few years is MyEras. The reason I love it is because it reminds me of why modes like MyTeam, MUT, or FUT were so fun — you could finally build a dream roster of past and present players without having to use a custom setup.

Now, with MyEras, you can jump into the Magic/Bird Era, Jordan Era, Kobe Era (’02–’03), LeBron Era, Steph Era, and the Modern Era.

What makes this mode so special to me is that it lets you play through basketball history and see how close — or how different — it plays out. As a Knicks fan, this hits home. Sure, the ’90s had some high moments, but that elusive ring never came. For me though, the Stephon Marbury era is one of my favorites, even if the team wasn’t great on paper.

(Side note: Stephon Marbury is one of my all-time favorite players.)

What I love doing in MyEras is taking those Knicks teams — led by the kid from New York himself — and rewriting their story. Marbury truly wanted to be in New York, but his time here was filled with turmoil. Even though those years weren’t exactly filled with winning, they were fun. I still remember sitting in my room with my older brother, watching Jamal Crawford throw it off the backboard for a layup or hit his signature behind-the-back hop move. Those plays got us hyped every time.

So, while the wins weren’t always there, the memories definitely were.

Now, with 2K’s MyEras mode, I get to take that same Knicks squad and change the course of history — win some games, maybe even a championship. One of my personal goals? Get Marbury into the Hall of Fame. It’s a long shot, but that’s part of the fun.

And of course, I eventually bring in Carmelo Anthony — not just because I’m a Syracuse fan, but because Melo wantedto be in New York. Even though he’s already a Hall of Famer in real life, I love chasing that ring he never got, building on an already incredible legacy.

So with all that said — get ready to follow my Knicks MyEras journey. Let’s see if I can turn Marbury into a Hall of Famer and help Melo finally get that championship ring he deserves.
